Larkin Company exterior shutters are
built to have the look and feel of the type of shutters found in 18th &
19th century homes. We start with a frame made of kiln-dried
redwood dressed to
full 1 5/16" thick and assembled with deep-haunched
mortise and tendon joints (the strongest corner joint in woodworking).
Our panels are made of an exterior composite board that
will not crack, shrink, or warp under the most
extreme conditions. Larkin Company shutters have the
distinct advantage of a wooden shutter that will outlast both synthetic
looking vinyl imitations and the pine originals that we so faithfully
replicate. Hinges bolts, and holdbacks are also available.
